Deck Jets
Deck jets are the most popular water feature addition to existing pools in Greater Boston. A deck jet is a small nozzle installed flush with the pool deck surface that shoots an arching stream of water into the pool — typically from the deck edge or from a raised planter. Multiple jets can be positioned around the pool perimeter to create symmetrical arching streams that frame the pool visually. At night, deck jets are typically illuminated with LED lights integrated into the nozzle body, creating lighted arcs of water that transform the pool's evening appearance.
Deck jet installation is relatively straightforward compared to other water features — the nozzles are plumbed into a dedicated supply line that runs under the deck from a valve manifold at the equipment pad. Flow to each nozzle is adjustable to control the arc height and trajectory. Most deck jet systems can be controlled through a pool automation system, allowing the jets to be activated from a smartphone app or included in programmed evening scenes. Adding deck jets to an existing pool requires cutting the deck surface to run supply lines and installing the nozzle bodies flush with the deck surface.
